Dr. Herring is originally from Massillon, Ohio.  He received his B.S. in Biological Sciences from Ohio University in 1997 and graduated from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2002. 

 In 2007, Dr. Herring completed his orthopedic surgical training at South Pointe Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.  He then completed a one year orthopedic fellowship at the Michigan International Foot and Ankle Center located in Pontiac, Michigan; under the tutelage of Arthur Manoli II, M.D.
